DRY AGED MEAT
Years ago, dry-ageing meat was discovered in America. Slaughtered cattle were then openly transported in trains throughout the country. The meat was 'hanging in the wind', as was said. The meat lost a lot of moisture and was almost black on the outside. However, the inside remained bright red and extremely tender. In our special dry-ageing fridge we are constantly extracting moisture from the meat for the ultimate taste experience.
FRESH FISH AND SEAFOOD
Whether it is the French Atlantic coast or our own Dutch North Sea. At Surf & Turf, we work with a refined selection of fish and seafood from all over the world. From oysters to sea bream, from scallops to prawns. It all comes together at Surf & Turf. Our supplier arrives every day with a fresh catch from the fish auction. Appropriate to the season, suiting the offer from our seas.
TERRACE AT THE OUDEGRACHT
In the Middle Ages, the wharf cellars on both sides of the Oudegracht together formed the city harbor of Utrecht. At the time, the wharf cellars served as a storage place for goods. Just like before, our stock is still delivered by boat. Nowadays the wharf cellars house several studios, B&Bs and restaurants. Just like Surf & Turf. On our terrace you will find yourself sitting in an oasis of peace in the middle of the vibrant city.
WINES FROM SALENTEIN
At the foothills of the Andes you'll find the winery Bodegas Salentein with classically cultivated wines. Founded by the Dutch Pon family with its own philosophy: 'Producing the highest quality wines and preserving the Argentinian culture in the wine.' At Surf & Turf you can enjoy the contemporary wines of Salentein or explore the wines produced by the Laurent Miquel family in Southern France.
